Elderly parent

Hi, does anybody know of an app or something that I could set up on my mum's ipad to show that she has used it each morning or when she has last used it so I know that all is well. There seems to be nothing that I can find in the app store for this simple unobtrusive requirement that I can find. I wonder if anybody knows of anything or an apple feature that I could use. She's worried about dying and not being found which is understandable. I don't want to install a camera but reckon she uses her ipad several times per day and so if she hadn't I would know something was wrong.
