How do I get rid of duplicate photos from my Photos library?

I have a number of duplicated photos that I wish to "clean up".

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 14.1

The Mac will work in the background to identify duplicate photos and they will appear in a Duplicates tab in the sidebar. If you recently added photos that were duplicates, it may take a little bit of time for the analysis to complete and will then appear in the side bar.
