Can photos in a photo album be sorted by date? I saw a discussion from 2020 that said it was possible as of Big Sur, but I can't find any instructions as to how to actually do it now. I am only seeing the "filter by" button on top right and no date variable.

In an album that you create, like maybe "Grandma's Life" that has all the pictures of Grandma in it, the images can be sorted by date or by title. When you select the album, then, in the menu View, you can choose the sort method:
Smart Albums can be sorted in the same way.
For albums preset by Apple, like Library or Recents, the sort order always remains the same, so sort order is grayed out.
