Can’t search Apple Music in the Music app on iMac

I am using the Apple Music app, version 1.2.5.7, on my iMac running macOS Monterey 12.7.2. I have a subscription to Apple Music. I’m trying to search for specific music within the Music app that is available to me with the Apple Music subscription. I am logged in to my Apple account. I am attaching a screenshot of the upper left portion of the app window, where the search bar is. When I search using the search bar, the main screen says “Searching iTunes Store”, and then shows selections available for purchase, not free music included with my Apple Music subscription. You can see in the screenshot that there is no search bar in the Apple Music section of the navigation pane. Note that in the iPad Music app, a search will show Apple Music.

Why can’t I search Apple Music within the Music app on the iMac?
