When I purchase a movie, I looked at the credits and while it got the producers, and the director right, it got the screenwriters wrong, and mistook the credits for the producers. I’m wondering if anyone else has this issue and why it’s happening.

That may be from the movies credits, in that case please contact the movie's producers. If it is in the app, the please contact the the apps developers. For example, if you are watching Avatar on the Paramount app or from Paramount, then you need to reach out to Paramount. In short, this does not appear to be an Apple issue.
