My iPhone 7 Plus I can’t hear anyone on the other end and they can’t hear me. What should I do?

I can’t hear the other person speaking nor can they hear me. When I speak into my phone it’s not working. I’ve checked the ringer, turn the phone off and on, do not disturb is off. My phone can only be updated to 15.8 and I’m there. Earlier it said my storage was full so I deleted many videos. What could it be?
