Kindle app not working on ipad

I noticed folks had a similar issue over a year ago. When I open the Kindle app, it will open then immediately close. I’ve shut down the iPad and rebooted. I thought about removing the app and downloading it again but I’m afraid I’ll lose all my books. Can anyone help?

I've been a Kindle user ever since their first device was released. Your library is stored in the Kindle/Amazon servers so you should not lose access to any of your books by signing out to the app, restarting your iPad, then signing in to Kindle again. But if you prefer not to do that, or it does not work for you, Then I would suggest you contact Kindle directly. They have a Support page for the Kindle apps. I've linked it below.
