MacBook Air will not accept AirDrop files from my iPhone

My MacBook Air does not receive the AirDrop files sent from my iPhone.

My iPhone shows the destination and when I send it, it shows that the file has been sent but it does not show up in any folders or files

I've checked all the privacy settings firewall and all the software is up-to-date on both devices. I've also reset them. Appreciate any suggestions while I can try.

Any help appreciated. I called Apple Support that they were unable to help and gave me some basic suggestions that didn't work, but the MacBook Air and iPhone are new and on the same network.

Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
