My home kit works with my iPhone and Apple Tv, but not with my iMac and my macbook. I get this message (in Danish) something like "This home can no longer be seen on this mac, this home needs software that is not compatible with this mac". I have tried to turn it of and on in iCloud, but that does not help.

There should have been a warning. I remember seeing one and considering the implications before I allowed the upgrade. My Catalina Mac can no longer control the home, but I never really used it for that.
