On my Catalina desktop I can't access TKMaxx. Are there other similar websites that require Big Sur or later?
Is there any way round this? My Safari is version 15.6.1 and that can't be updated further.

Lots of websites do not support older versions of Safari. Your best option in that case is to use another browser. As your iMac is getting there in age you also may want to put a plan together to replace it in the next year or so this problem will only get more difficult with time.
