I have an old 16GB iPad, model A1219 and the battery is bunk'd, will not hold a charge will only flicker. Even connecting it to my iMAC does not help - it is not recognized because iPad acts as if dead.
Can the battery be replaced or is it not worth running to an Apple store 40 miles away?
The first gen iPad is 13 years old. I doubt Apple will have the part for you. You could try calling the store to see.
Your money would likely be better spent getting a new(er) iPad.
