Strikethrough in Pages is the wrong color

I am not a Pages expert by any means, trained instead over a decade ago on Word. But I get along as best I can. Once in awhile there's an head scratcher I can't sort out, and this time it's that on a document I regularly update I've found Pages wants to stubbornly use red as a Strikethrough color, rather than black.

I've got the Text color in "Format" set as black and the involved text itself is indeed black, but the strikethrough for that text is red, and I don't see a way to force the strikethrough back to black. As a result some of the struck through text throughout the document is struck through in black and some in red.

Yes, the text of the document uses multiple colors throughout as a means of organization, but is mostly basic Times New Roman black. I'd expect the strikethrough line color to either match each or be simply black. Any idea why this occurs? Somewhere along the line I must've changed some setting that unintentionally resulted in red Strikethroughs. But I haven't discovered on my own a way to rectify it.
