Private Access in settings for Instagram/Snapchat/Tik Tok

For me to share a photo on instagram (using messages/stories/post) it says I need to enable photo access but when I got to settings it says “Private Access” and I cannot change it and I’ve updated Instagram. While with Tik Tok and Snapchat it doesn’t show the camera accessibility. And I’ve gone to Privacy and Security of Camera and it shows app clips but there are no apps that have requested it. And when I go to the privacy and security of photos it shows Instagram YouTube and safari but with the same Private Access and I can’t change it.

iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS 17

I had the same exact issue, I had to free some storage so I could do the software update and it went back to normal after this

Hi, I solved my problem by going to setting and checking for software updates, so if you update your phone the problem should be resolved because that fixed my problem

Delete app and reinstall it

And you will see a notification allowing access. Accept it

Hello, if you got to settings and search software updates, and update it to the most recent update it should fix your issue

I am curious if this was ever resolved for you? My son's phone is having same issues and cant figure out how to solve it. I have deleted, reinstalled IG as well as turn off/on phone but thats not working to solve this issue

I updated my software and the issue DID NOT RESOLVE. How can I use Instagram when I can’t allow photo access? My settings days “private access” and I can’t change it.
