Menu Bar & Dock Background

How can I change the menu bar and dock background color

I switched off "Increase contrast" and & "Reduce transparency" which turned the menu bar to slightly darker than the top of my wallpaper (dark blue) and turned the dock to dark gray (better than that light gray).


I then set appearance to dark mode and the dock is now black. Dark mode is easier on the eyes anyway - even in full daylight. (running macOS Sonoma 14.2.1 on a Mac mini (M2 chip)
