The blue tooth has been reset several times as well as rebooting the iPad itself, i have left the pencil sit on the iPad to get a charge but still nothing,
also the IOS is 17.2
the iPad however recognizes the air pods and and a wireless headset.
any help will be appreciated.

The Second generation Apple Pencil is not compatible with the 10th Generation iPad. There is nowhere on the 10th generation iPad to attach the second generation pencil to for pairing.

If you have the same iPad model as this thread was about it was clearly explained that the 2nd generation pencil is not compatible with this model. If you have a different iPad you commented in the wrong thread and would be better served if you either locate an existing thread that is both about the pencil in question and the model iPad you have or starting a new thread with details (iPad model including generation).
