Cleaning out old unneeded files, etc.

AFAIK, there are no "good" apps for cleaning a Mac. macOS does an excellent job of keeping itself tidy, and no "cleaner" apps should be needed.


If you have a situation where you used your Mac for awhile and have built-up a lot of cruf, I would suggest that you first back up your Mac, then use Recovery Mode, to erase its internal drive, and then, reinstall a "clean" copy of macOS.

Nope' third-party cleaners will mess up your iMac and make it unstable or worse unusable.

If you need to free up a lot of space, consider moving your Photos or Music Libraries to an external drive.
