Sharing Location Only Working One Way

My partner and I share location indefinitely through iMessage. It was working fine for months until yesterday his location disappeared for me. The map won’t show up at all in our messages for me. He can still see mine though.

Also, this morning I woke up to see that apparently I had stopped sharing location with him in the middle of the night, which I did not do myself obviously.

I shared my location again and he can see it, but when he tries to share his with me, nothing happens. We have tried turning our phones off and back on and of course unsharing and resharing locations is not working. How to fix this?
