Why did iPhone switch to bold text overnight and why if there no notification of an update in the usual place?

1. I woke up this morning (01/05/2024) started using my iPhone and noticed everything was in bold. I did not choose those settings.

Why did it do this all on its own please????

I never selected or even knew about that setting. When I checked my settings, Bold Text toggle was ON without my permission or engagement.

2. I do see that there’s an update. 17.2.1 to download and install.

So why is there no notification of the update in the usual place?

Please fix. Thank you.

It sounds like a glitch. I certainly didn't have this problem and I haven't seen any other posts in the forum about it. And, if it is indeed a glitch, no, you wouldn't have been notified.

If it happens again, you might want to start troubleshooting. But, if it doesn't, I wouldn't waste time worrying about it.
