Is it possible to export a transcript with time code in FCP X Version 10.7.1?
You can use third party services to create transcripts, but FCPX won't do it alone. SimonSays has a plugin for FCPX. My TV station we use Rev.com. But then, I'm not the one paying for that. LOL!
We've used and have been quite happy with sonix dot ai for transcription. We also started using an app called Captionator for quickly captioning long interviews and then being able to search for words or phrases using the Timeline Index. I corresponded with the developer and requested he consider creating something like the AI transcription that Adobe now offers inside Premiere. If he got more requests, it might move onto his development schedule.
No, by itself FCPX won't do this.
Thank you. I am a big fan of rev.com. Their automated service is very affordable. I have been told by a Premiere user that they can transcribe directly from that app and I was trying to find out if that can be done with FCPX without an additional plugin.
