Vertical Lines on screen of Macbook Pro - Only at certain angles

Hi there,

Just short of 4 years of ownership (and no apple care) my screen out of no where stopped working - now it shows vertical lines across the screen. However, if I close the screen most of the way, I can see the screen just fine (except that it is a really awkward angle to see the computer.) At least, I initially could. Now after several days of this, I try to take a photo of this phenomena, and the screen now works at no angle.

It had worked just fine hours before this started. I had not moved the computer since I had last used it. No moisture, no droppage, and no pets or mischievous boyfriends to be a part of the mix. I just lifted up the screen and it was like this.

This is a huge disappointment as all of my prior apple laptops lasted just fine for 10 years (2 prior models).

Macbook Pro late 2019, 16 inch.

Any input?
