If you’re having issues with “iTunes” on factory resetting. Assuming you own a windows computer if you download the free software “3uTools”.

Then -

1 - open “3uTools” on your windows device

2 - connect the iPad the computer via lightning/type-c

3 - look up how to send your iPad model into recovery mode.

3.1 - the model number is on the back of the device in the format of “A####” google it or if you already know you can skip this step.

4 - with the device plugged into the computer with the device in recovery mode “3uTools” will show you 4 wipe options and have info bubble to tell you what they will do to your device.

5 - choose the wipe type download the version patch directly on “3uTools” then leave it to run.

(if the wipe process fails on “3uTools” which it does do from time to time then just try running it again and again until the device is wiped)

This will take you back to the setup page where you will only be left with the Apple ID lock.

I hope this helps a little. :)
