Java runtime engine (JRE) on iMac M1

Last time I tried to install JRE on my M1 iMac, it dont works. Is the problem always present? If not, what can I do to install it ?

iMac 24″, macOS 14.1

I have a Celestron telescope, to update the firmware of the mount, hand control and some accessories I have to use the Celestron firmware manager (CFM). The CFM installation include JRE and the process to update the firmware use JRE.
