Would an Apple Watch purchased in the us be able to connect to cellular service in poland

We are considering purchasing an Apple Watch w/ cellular for our niece who lives in Poland and want to make sure the cellular functionality works

An Apple Watch Series 9 or Ultra II should work.


Check the model numbers for carriers in Poland vs the U.S.

Apple Watch - Carriers - Apple


HOWEVER, the Series 8, Ultra I, Series 7, 6, 5, 4, etc… WOULD NOT WORK!


These older models have Canada, U.S., Mexico, Puerto Rico specific cellular radios that will not work across the Atlantic.


Also keep in mind that the warranty is country specific, and the Apple Watch would need to be returned to the U.S. if anything happened that warranted warranty repairs.
