iPhone Two Wallet Apps in Location Settings

In the location screen for my iPhone there are two Wallet app settings appearing. Could this be because I once had a MacBook Air? I returned the MacBook, but I still have the phone. I’ve never noticed the extra one before, but I really haven’t looked at location settings very often. Are there any reasons there are two of them with different location settings? To note, there is only one entry for “Wallet and Apple Pay” on the main Settings screen.

I have two Wallet Apps showing as well. This has been reported over the years here and in other online communities. I’ve never heard an explanation. The one theory that makes the most sense is one is for the App itself and some/all the cards in the Wallet. The other Wallet is for Apple Pay services. If you never use Apple Pay, you’ll only have one Wallet in Location Service. It can be deleted by resetting Location Services, but once Apple Pay is used, the second Wallet appears. At least that’s the theory.

Thanks for the explanation Jeff. That it only shows when Apple Pay makes sense. I’d like to think I would have noticed when looking at Settings once or twice before. Have two there kind of sticks out. Thanks again.

There is no thread with the contacts app, but it is the same issue. Thought wallet solution would be helpful for me. I now deleted contacts. But as it’s in the phone app, it’s still under location service.

You can and should start your own thread. You can do it under the forum Jeff Donald suggested. Or, as Contacts is part of iOS, you can just put it under "iPhone".
