How to set up which browser is opened when I click on a link on a webpage to email me the form or article?

I use Safari, Chrome and Arc on my MacBook. Recently, if I click on an email icon (usually a little envelope) on a webpage, regardless of the browser I am in, Arc will open up to address the item I asked to have emailed or opened.

While this did start some time after I downloaded Arc I have gone through Arc's preferences and do not find a place to turn off 'use Arc for emails' or however I might word it. Is there a setting in Sonoma 14.2.1 where I can set up which browser I want to use for this kind of task?

Thank you

Michelle

I saw that in another thread when I was searching for this topic and wasn't sure if I wanted to choose apple mail. Until now, it has opened the item in the browser I am using. Because of your reply I decided to open Apple Mail and see what was there. Lo and behold, Arc was set as the default email reader! I know I did not set that up, not knowingly.

Now, I am not saying that Arc set this up in some sneaky way when I downloaded the browser. It may be that when I was setting it up, there was a place this was listed in the set up process with Arc having preloaded their browser in that field and I just didn't notice it and agreed to the account set up. It is a lesson for me to slow down and read more carefully.

However, I don't know about others here but coming out of Covid, mostly, my brain is overloaded with all the changes that have come through my job over the last 4 years and continue to be unfolding since worklife as we knew it, is not the same anymore for many people or many job classifications.

Thanks steve626 for replying to my question. I might not have logged into Mail Preferences and sorted it out.
