My brother recently gave me his old Apple Watch Series 4 after he lost it for years and has no idea what the Apple ID or email he used at that time. I would love to be able to use it but it says activation lock and I can’t seem to get around that

I want to be able

to use the watch but have no way of getting into it without his old iCloud account. He has no clue what it could be and I’m hoping the watch isnt basically trash now without it

(1) If he is logged in with another device such as an old iPhone, iPad etc. he can open the “Find My” app and remove the watch remotely.

(2) Hit “Forgot Password” or try to do an iCloud recovery

(3) If you have proof of purchase, then you can reach out to apple support and see if they can remove it but not guaranteed.
