Apple ID signed in on new device two days in a row, same exact time, despite password change

I got a "your Apple ID was used to sign in to iCloud on a new device" message yesterday morning, the time being 2:03 am.

I changed the password, logged out of all devices, etc.

I got an email again this morning, the same "your Apple ID was used to sign in to iCloud on a new device"- and also at 2:03 am.

Before I change the password again- could there be some other reason this happened twice in a row at the same time of day?

(And yes I am sure it's not us because we are asleep at 2:03 am!)

I can report that we are having the same problem. Also for my children's accounts. I also tried a number of things to fix it. Also here nobody knows the password (and besides, it does not make sense that a hacker is adding a new device every couple of hours for weeks on end)

Must be some issue on Apple's side, I think. Any progress by anyone?

Unfortunately this doesn't help. We reset our daughter's tablet + iPhone to its original state and set it up again. We even changed passwords as a whole family.. But after updating to iPadOS 17.3, the problem is back.

It looks like some kind of bug with child accounts. Apple might finally comment on this and fix the problem ASAP!!

We have the same problem on our daughter's account. It started after Christmas. So we reset the device and set it up again without a backup. At first it looked like we solved the problem. But as soon as we updated to 17.3, the problem came back..

I have the same issue with my daughter's account. Several emails over the last couple weeks. She has never known the password, so it's unlikely that it was shared with someone else. There are no other devices listed on the Apple ID website than the devices we have physically.

She lost her iPad while traveling a few weeks back and it's been marked in Lost Mode. We added a new iPad with her account. I have been wondering if adding the new iPad or the lost iPad might be contributing to this.

I changed her password regardless and still get these emails. I hope someone at Apple takes notice of this soon!
