I have started receiving pop-ups like this in the past week or so. What do they mean? I do not have an Iphone, and have no idea what you mean by the "Apple ID Phone Number". I am running MacOS 13.6.3 (22G436) (Ventura) connected to a 2018 MacMini.

Just saw you are using Firefox, so check in their Notification settings to remove the website that was allowed to send it. This may help for Firefox:

You also have the option that can be checked in Settings on your Mac:

Screenshot of the pop up would help. Does it only happen when you are on the internet?
Apple would never have a need to ask such a question. It's virtually guaranteed to be a scam.

s the screen shot, which appeared in the upper right corner, just like other alert notices do. I think it's only when I'm on the Internet, but I have not kept track. I first noticed it only a week ago, and goes away, then reappears. I don't recall seeing it at all yesterday.
For what it's worth, I had multiple windows open on Firefox and just closed all but this one and another to the Apple.com community. Nothing changed on the pop-up.
