Apple 14 Plus MagSafe Case Peeling and ruled it is not covered under warranty?

I purchased a silicon apple case and literally just ONE day after using it, it started peeling in the right corner. There is an ident on the case is from where the silicon had started peeling and had fallen off.

I submitted photos and they told me it was due to a “drop” instead of a poor quality case.

Are you kidding me? I can’t count how many years I’ve had an iPhone variation and then you pull this on me? I would expect any case, let alone a case priced like the Apple one, to last MUCH longer and not be peeling within the first 72 hours of using it.

If this doesn’t get resolved, I feel like I’ll have no choice but to, on principle, evaluate non-Apple phones for my next phone upgrade.

Apple has a 14-day (from the purchase date) to return a product for either a replacement or a full refund. There are a few exceptions, but cases should not be one of them. Returns & Refunds - Shopping Help - Apple

Past that 14 days, then they would be covered by the Apple limited hardware warranty against manufacturing defects. However, an Apple Technician is required to examine the product to determine if that is the case (no pun intended.) From your post, it appears that they did not come to that conclusion.

Where you go from here is totally up to you. If it were me, I would talk with the store's manager to get and get another evaluation. You may find that the manager may be more receptive to your claim. At least, it's worth a try.

FWIW, we see a number of posts here with folks having issues with the Apple silicon cases, so you may not be alone. Whether or not, Apple will respond to these is not something we would know as we are not Apple employees here. Good luck!
