Recycling old watch

I bought an Apple Watch in 2018. It no longer charges well but rather than trade in and buy a new watch Id rather recycle it. Ive read the info on using the watch app to erase personal data. My question is where in Spokane Washington can I take it to recycle besides the Apple Store in downtown Spokane, can I recycle it at a Staples store?

Older watch - Still recyclable? I have an older Apple Watch - been sitting in the drawer for a couple of years - since I bought the Series 6 I own today. I do not recall the recycling was available for it then. I would like to recycle it now, regardless of whether or not is has monetary value. Is this possible? How do I request a return mailer? Thanks!
