Battery draining and overheating

After the Sonoma update, the Mac is overeating and the battery is draining profusely, lasts max 1hr.

How long ago was the " Sonoma update " performed.


It is generally normal for the computer to re-index the entire drive after and update


Re-indexing all the changes will consume a lot of Power and can get warm and increase the use of the battery


Suggest plugging in the Charger to the computer.


Keep it plugged in for at least several hours


Depending on the amount of changes that have been performed with this update and amount of data on the drive, may keep it plugged in for a good 24 hours
