Upgrading from Mojave V10.14.6

How do I upgrade from Mojave 10.14.6 on a Macbook Pro 13" mid 2012 and how much longer should I anticipate it working now it is no longer supported. Trackpad is already playing up. Thanks

Since you're running Mojave, you should be able to go to System Preferences > Software Update to initiate the upgrade to Catalina.

If that does not work, then you can download the Catalina upgrade app from the Mac App Store and complete the upgrade with that.

It will continue to work... until it doesn't. Ten years is a good run for a Mac computer. Anything more than that is gravy. I hope you're already making plans to replace it as it could fail at any time. And I hope you are making regular backup of your data. Time Machine backup to an external drive is an excellent and preferred way to b/u the computer and makes data transfer to a new Mac dead simple.
