The answer is actually detailed below:

"To continue using the Asda Rewards app, when you next log in you'll be asked to input your mobile phone number. Once you've done this, you'll then receive a one-off one-time passcode via text to input into the app before you can continue to use it.

You'll only be asked to do this once, and the mobile device you complete the process on will become your trusted device. All other devices logged into the app will be logged out.

You'll only ever need to repeat the process if you need to change your password, or if you want to log into the app on a different device.

There isn't a deadline to do this by, however, it's best to do so as soon as possible to make sure your account is secure. "

Asda updated their security. If you have changed devices at any point, the old device is probably the trusted device, therefore the new devices requires authentication each time. Im my case, because I have installed the app on more than one phone (my son's and partner's), the first one that authenticated became the trusted device.

In order to change the trusted device, change your password and log in again on the device you want - this should then authenticate and become the new trusted unit.

That is not a good answer.

I have the same issue, but only with one phone, the 15 Pro Max. On my other phone, the 13 Pro Max, the password is saved, and I am not required to wait for a text authentication every time I want to use the app. The app is the same version as what is installed on the 13 Pro Max. Not only that, under account settings it actually has the username and password stored for login - and has the option for FaceID enabled.

This is not an issue with the app!
