What if I get a notification that contact key has been turned off but the person is not I. Your shared network

I got a notification that an individual turned off contact key. This person is not one of my family shared contacts. It is just an acquaintance and I am wondering why that person had that turned on the security key feature and if that is how they were able to access my conversations without my knowledge

Contact Key Verification is just a way to ensure that the person you think you are texting is texting, not texting a hacker. This is entirely normal. No conversations have been compromised. This is a feature (I think it's in beta but I'm not sure) that has no effect on any devices or conversations, is completely options, and is only designed for people with a high security risk.
