Apple TV won't load on Firestick

I downloaded the Apple TV app on my Firetv Stick which is fully updated with the latest OS (05.2.9.5(686800020)). When I try to run the app I get a message that I must install the latest Fire TV software version, which I've done. What gives? Do I need a newer TV stick? Which software version (number) does the Apple TV app need? I've removed and reinstalled the app, same problem.

Apple TV won’t update to os 16.2 I have an Apple TV 4K 1st gen running OS 15.6. When I try to update to 16.2, it stops and says it didn’t update and try again later. But then I see it’s in the process of updating or redownloading all my streaming apps. I have tried this several times, and it does the same thing. What’s up?
