Occasional disconnections MOTU 828ES with Thunderbolt adapter

I'm encountering a problem with a MOTU 828es Audio interface, Mac OS Sonoma 14.2.1, the audio interface is correctly recognized and working, but when connected with a thunderbolt 2 cable (with an adapter thunderbolt 2 to thunderbolt 3 plugged in the Mac Studio) after 1 hour approx the interface is disconnecting, losing the connection with the Mac.

It is not needed to turn off the audio interface then, I simply plug off the cable, plug in and then it's recognized and working again, but after another hour this happens again.

This does not happen if I use the USB connection. What could be the problem..?

I already tried changing thunderbolt 2 cable and thunderbolt 2 to thunderbolt 3 adapter (both Apple originals), nothing changes.
