Coloured lines on my MacBook screen

I’ve left my MacBook on the floor a few times, one day when I turn it on the whole screen slightly lights up but I have coloured lines starting to go all across, I’ve fixed all my broken apple products myself and was wondering if it needs a new lcd display. Since I’m not 100% sure and they cost about £200.

The transistors that light up the colored dots of the screen are 'printed' on the back side of the glass. The wavy line going through your screenshot is due to cracked glass, and cracked connections to these transistors.

Yes, you likely need a replacement display. Your Mac has a T2 chip, which makes the already fiddly repair even more complicated.
