iPhone 15 Pro camera focus issues

I have the same issue. I visited the Apple Store and they performed an assessment on the camera, found issues, and replaced it. I'm still disappointed in the quality of my photos. Heading back soon to discuss the same problem with the replacement. I should have kept my 13 Pro Max.

Even after Apple replaced the camera, I still have the same focus problem. The Apple Store is an hour from me, too, but I do plan on returning. I think the more of us that bring this to their attention, the better it is for a possible remedy.

I was a professional portrait photographer for over 30 years. I used my iPhone 8 for family pictures and they were terrific. The camera produced super sharp images that I printed in 16 x 20s. I recently "upgraded" to the iPhone 15 (basic model) and the pictures of people are never sharp, especially if they are taken from more than a few feet away. What a disappointment. My son and I were photographing his daughter's school play and while all of his photos (taken with a Samsung) were super sharp, including group portraits with many kids in them, my photos were all soft around the eyes.

I’m having the same problem! the camera is awful and is the worst phone i have ever had. So disappointing that we spend so much money on apple products for this to be the new and improved quality we get. I shouldn’t have switched phones and just kept the money!!!

Same! I recently “upgraded” from iPhone11 to iPhone15 just for the sake of the promised improved photo quality. Unfortunately, iPhone15 photos are always awful. The quality at any resolution or setting configuration is suboptimal. With same light conditions, iPhone11 still does better photos. I’d guess it is a software issue. If there is no fix on the way, I might return the iPhone15 and come back to my reliable iPhone11. Very disappointed!

Me too. I am so disappointed. My iPhone 11 had a brilliant camera. I only changed because I needed more storage. I went for the Pro hoping it would be better and instead I get early 2000 quality phone camera photos!

I have the same problem after upgrading a few days ago from 12 Pro. This is VERY disappointing and I hope it's only a software issue. I would hate to deal with support, return the phone etc. Configuring all the banking apps and other hardware dependant software was a real pain already once.

I have the same issue on Iphone 15 Pro Max. The scan documents are blurry. Using Camera in whatss app the same problem as well. My iPhone XR canera working muxh better in scan documents.

It's not fair to pay high price and dissatisfied and disappointed from apple. Please fix the issue or Recall the product.

@lynda02 -Are the photos at least a little bit better now? I have the same issue and I am past the return policy so I am thinking about taking it in to the Apple Store for repair or replacement. The nearest store is an hour from me though so I don’t want to go if it isn’t going to help anything.

What is the solution then?

Agree. Mine is AWFUL. I hate it. I’d take my 12 back any day.
