It is not possible to buy more storage for an iPhone; it will never have more than it did when you bought it. What you bought is iCloud+ storage that is used for backing up and also for syncing to other devices. Here is an explanation→What's the difference between device storage and iCloud storage? - Apple Support
iCloud+ has 2 independent functions. iCloud backups, and iCloud sync. It’s confusing because they both have the same name prefix. But they have no connection with each other. Go to Settings/[your name]/iCloud. You will see a bunch of switches (with iOS 16 also tap Show All). When you turn on a switch that data type will sync to iCloud. If you do this on multiple devices that share an Apple ID the selected data will sync to all of those devices.
You can also turn on iCloud Backups. This will back up your phone every night if the phone is plugged in, connected to Wi-Fi and locked.
But note that anything that you sync by the first method will be excluded from the iCloud backups.

Local device storage and iCloud storage are not the same thing.
Device storage is located in chips inside of your iPhone. You can't expand it. Whatever your iPhone comes with is what it will have for life.
iCloud storage is located on Apple's servers. It's for backups of your iPhone, and for synchronizing data between multiple devices (e.g., between an iPhone and a Mac).
The 2 TB of storage that you are renting from Apple is iCloud storage. The 128 GB figure is probably from a screen showing the amount of device storage that you have.

The problem you're experiencing, where you've purchased 2 TB of storage but your system only shows 128 GB, may be due to a number of reasons. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take to solve this problem:
1. Check your subscription
- Confirm your Plan:Make sure you're logged in to the right account and that your 2 TB subscription is active. Check the confirmation email or subscription details in your account settings.
- Payment verification: Although you mention that payments are up to date, it's always a good idea to check whether the last payment was processed correctly.
2. Contact customer support
If, after checking the above point, the problem persists, the best course of action is to contact customer support directly at the service where you purchased the storage space. They will be able to check the status of your account in more detail and resolve any problems specific to their service.
3. Check storage allocation
- On cloud storage services: Some services allow you to manage how storage space is distributed between different services (such as emails, photos, and files). Check that the space is not unevenly distributed.
By following these steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the problem.
None of what you wrote (which you likely pulled from some form of AI) applies to the Authors question. Simply said, they bought iCloud Storage, with the false belief it would add memory to their iPhone. iPhone memory is fixed at purchase and there is NO way to ever make it bigger. What they bought only permits them to store more backups in the cloud and sync more data with iCloud.
Its great you want to help here and we love to see new members helping out. But it's best to understand the question before you add things which don't apply at all.
