How to recover a deleted conversation

I assume that you have installed iOS 16 or iOS 17 on your XS
Tap to open Messages
Tap Edit in the upper left corner of the screen
Tap Show Recently Deleted
Messages that have been deleted within the 30 days will appear
Select the message(s) that you want to recover
Tap Recover
Messages that have been deleted more than 30 days ago have been permanently deleted and cannot be recovered
