apple tv+ won't play movies on safari

Apple TV+ no longer plays movies on Safari. I can log into my account but when I click on a movie to watch it loads but then just stops after about 10 seconds. Nothing plays. I checked the preferences and can't find anything that might be blocking it but see nothing. Apple TV+ works fine on Firefox, so the problem is with Safari. Anyone have any suggestions, apart from not using Safari? This is a new problem, perhaps since upgrading Safari.

Apple TV video playback crashes every time within seconds of opening a video on my M4 Macbook Pro. I'm on macOS Sequoia Version 15.4.1, M4 MacBook Pro. Every time I try to watch a series with the Apple TV app, the video player crashes and closes itself within seconds of playback. It doesn't matter which series I'm watching. I'm able to use Apple TV streaming via the browser, but this is not optimal since the resolution is much better using the Apple TV app.

How to resolve Apple TV app playback issues on LG TV? Using the Apple +TV app I can bring up the home page displaying all movies, series, and other content. After choosing a product to watch, it displays the icon that indicates the content is loading but the content doesn't appear. A message does appear saying "Unable to play. There is a problem playing this video. Try again or troubleshoot the issue, trying the troubleshoot option results in OK Internet connected, OK Connected for playback, Checking streaming Video. Troubleshooting complete. Try again later. it I try again it always goes through the same cycle over again. The app is on latest update as is LG TV set. All other apps, Netflix, Max.
