I am running Sonoma 14.2.1 on M2 2022. My HDMI cable and adapter work fine on another (Viera) TV but will not work with Fire TV 65MX800B. Other MacBooks and PCs work fine plugging in the HDMI cable with appropriate adapters. Any ideas?

Have you reviewed this Apple Support article to ensure you've got everything configured properly on your Mac? Use your TV as a display with Mac - Apple Support
If you have an Apple TV box, you should be able to use AirPlay instead of connecting the TV directly. (No idea if you have one...just throwing this out there for consideration).
I'm assuming you've updated the software on this Fire TV, and that you've rebooted it, and it still won't show any content from your Mac? (And that both Mac and Fire TV are on the same WiFi network).
You might try seeing if anyone on the Amazon Fire TV support forum can help with this, as it sounds as if you've narrowed it down to just this Mac...
Thanks Mike. All configured okay. The Fire TV configuration menu includes Appleplay (and HomeKit) but this avenue doesn't work either.
When I plug in the usb-c adapter with HDMI the Mac recognises it is connected to the Panasonic and resolution changes but the Fire TV on the HDMI socket just shows 'No Input'......
Will try again. Rebooting etc. Thanks for your help.
