What is the difference between "Up Next" and my queue?

Maybe I'm just too dumb to use the podcast app, but while browsing through recommendations from the Listen Now tab I added several episodes to my queue. It took me forever to figure out where to see them as I expected they would just appear in the "Up Next" listing. Why are there two things that seems like they should be the same? And why is my queue so difficult to locate?

I have the same question as Biko23. And I also wonder why my ipad doesn’t seem to have queue, just the “Up Next” section.

But to Jeanie 1905 — I couldn't figure this out for a while either. I can’t imagine why Apple makes this so hard. Here’s how to find your queue: with the podcast app open (I believe on any of the tabs you could choose along the bottom), put your finger on the name of the podcast currently playing/paused in the narrow section near the bottom of the screen. Holding your finger on the screen, swipe up, and you will see your queue.

I hope that helps.
