2023 Tacoma apple car play issues

When plugged in CarPlay can’t control volume and now mic won’t work when making phone calls? I used my phone apple CarPlay in my 2022 Mazda and it worked fine? Only has issues when plugged in via Toyota cable provided with the truck?

Why might my car's microphone stop working with CarPlay? Why might my car's microphone stop working with CarPlay? The car’s microphone works for its built-in voice commands. But when I press and hold the button on the steering wheel to send a message to Siri it doesn't hear anything. The little pulsating blue dot appears on the CarPlay screen, so it's listening, but the request just times out. My phone’s built-in microphone works, just not when using the car's microphone when in CarPlay. I can play music from my phone via CarPlay. It works for my wife's iPhone, same model and version of iOS it stopped working for me in both of our cars, so it's not the cars or cables. I have restarted my iPhone. Any suggestions?

Carplay Microphone function not working on my Renault Arkana My Renault Arkana (2022 model) has a problem with CarPlay and the microphone not working when I make calls with people reporting they can not hear me, although I can hear them load and clearly. Renault says it's an issue Apple must resolve as my car does not have a faulty microphone. When using SIRI, my commands are heard. I have tried many ways to overcome the problem, none of which work, so I'm reaching out to Apple to find a fix for this annoying issue.
