I was trying to download something but the app wouldn’t open so I gave the phone to a friend to try and I think she deleted the app or it disappeared

The App Store app is not one of the apps that can be deleted but it can be removed from the Home Screen. Go to the App Library (swipe left past your last Home Screen). From there you can touch and hold an app and slide it to the Home Screen.
Also note the Search window at the top of the App Library.
Another reason for it not being visible is due to a restriction on purchasing. Go to Settings and tap Screen Time, tap Content & Privacy Restrictions, tap iTunes & App Store Purchases, choose a setting and set to Allow. I redownloaded my app store but when I clicked on it,it disappeared.I don’t know how to get it back.

I have tried everything suggested and nothing is working. It seems like more people are reporting this same issue now so hopefully they will fix this
When you toggle off it comes back, when you toggle on it disappears again. It is my daughter’s iPad and I have restrictions on her iPad because of her age so turning it off isn’t an option for me
Same issue - all content restriction is now removed and the app store just vanishes before my eyes.

Nope. Switched off content and restrictions. Still no app store. This sucks.
Me too. When I search it, nothing. I NEED to have certain apps on my phone. Google, and apple have NO information that is useful.
