Free Chat GPT Account created with Apple ID - Cannot delete it

I have followed many articles and procedures to delete Chat GPT. I created the account using Apple ID. However it will not let me delete it, even after filling in Apple ID and password -- account remains Locked. I have logged out and logged back in, but it's still locked. Is this because of the Apple connection?
