iPad Air iOS 17.2 can't connect with GNS3000 Bluetooth receiver.

Hello! I have a problem.

iPad Air 4 cellular, iPad OS 17.2. I can't connect it with my GNS3000 bluetooth reciever. It is visible in bluetooth device list, but when I trying to connect with it, there is error: "GNS3000 is not supported". This reciever worked correctly 1,5 year, and it still works with another devices as an Android phone or older iPad with older OS.

I tried to reload iPad, to reload Bluetooth, to reset settings of iPad. It still not works.

Has anyone ever faced such a problem?

Here is the solution! Newest firmware update from GNS Electronics. I tested - it is working! But you will need an android-device to update the GNS3000 via bluetooth.

Thanks for sharing the information.

I'm pleased to know that my assumptions were correct, and I hope that the owners of that receiver can continue to use it with satisfaction on their iPads. All's well that ends well.

Have a nice day.

The GNS3000 firmware can be updated from iPad.

You simply need to download, unzip and transfer the firmware update file to a microSD card. For iPad, you will need an appropriate microSD or SD Card reader - and for the latter, a simple passive microSD adapter.

SD Card readers compatible with all models of iPad are easily available.

Today succeeded in updating the GNS3000 by means of OTA using a Samsung smartphone of my neighbor . Although the instructions of the supplier that provided the updated firmware are rather limited for an IOS user I succeeded in installing it. After updating the firmware via OTA checked my iPad 17.2 and GNS3000 re appeared in Bluetooth settings and connected to my GNS3000. I encourage GNS Germany to provide better instructions to install using android or better come up with an update using IOS.

Hi, did you get any reaction from the GNS support team in the meantime. I am having the same problem as you are having. Very odd that you have to update the firmware with an Android device. If I liked Android I would have bought all my equipment with Android software. Fortunately my boat is in the warehouse still, but I hope they will come up with an update so I can update using my iPad or iMac.

For your information GNS3000 works with iPhone 13pro using IOS 17.3.1 regards
