Apple subscriptions are paid through the primary payment method that is linked to your Apple ID account.
Annual subscriptions are initiated from changing the subscription options from the default (often monthly). I couldn’t find confirmation that annual is available for Apple TV+ in India, though. Options may differ by country. How to switch to a different subscription plan - Apple Support. If you payment process was different, then it may not have been the true official method.
Payments for digital Apple products and services can be found in the purchase history for the linked Apple ID account. View your purchase history for the App Store, iTunes Store, and other Apple media services - Apple Support

If you added funds to your Apple ID account, then nothing was purchased yet.

This “store credit” middle step wouldn’t be necessary for UPI payment method though, as far as I can tell.
