I found an Apple Watch on the side of the road. It is Password protective. Is there anyway to reset the watch and use it? Or do I just throw it away?

Please read above. That's the whole question. I obviously have no idea what model this found watch is.

If the watch is connected to someone else's Apple ID, there's nothing you can do with it. Drop it off at your local Apple Store or other electronics recycling location.

drop it off at the police station, or post on local community facebook lost & found. it could have important data on it for the owner.

Any data on the Apple Watch is also on the owner's iPhone.

apple will be able to trace it back to the owner.

They really don't have that ability. And they don't get involved in returning lost/stolen devices.

please don't throw it away. then the owner has no hope of ever getting it back. might be related to missing person, or have a reward associated. you never know.

The biggest reason not to throw it in the trash is that there are materials in the watch that should go into a landfill.
