Find My device names

My new MacBook Air originally had the name MacBook Air (2) since I used Migration Assistant to move from the old unit. I changed the name of the new MacBook Air, but still get a periodic message saying Find My can't locate MacBook Air (2). How can I get it to forget the old name? I don't see it in the list of devices when logging into Find My online.

I've changed name multiple times and I've also tried this commands in terminal: sudo scutil --set ComputerName "newname" sudo scutil --set LocalHostName "newname" sudo scutil --set HostName "newname" and dscacheutil -flushcache Even here in tags section in suggestest devices is the new name) And I also contacted the previous owner and he showed me that this laptop is not in the device list in his apple id. So how and why am I seeing the old owners name in Find my notifications, and there only? Thanks!

how to turn on Find My after using Migration Assistant on new laptop I bought another MacBook (Air this time) and migrated everything from the MacBook Pro that was getting too old to use (it was from 2017, and I think it should still function, but that is another type of question to Apple, about durability and sustainability). Everything went fine except for that the Find My function did not turn on within the new MacBook Air. How do I keep both devices on my account and, in other words, how do I also turn on Find My for this new laptop?

Find My Apple wrong name Hello everyone Recently I bought a MacBook Pro 2020 second hand but I have a problem that I couldn't figure out. Every time I leave my home and leave my laptop behind, Find My Apple send me a notification, saying that 'Alex's MacBook Pro' was forgotten. Lastly seen on Home location. The problem is the previous owner was named 'Alex' and I want to change that but I couldn't figure out how. I removed every 'Alex' I could find in my MacBook but still when I'm go out it's send me the same notification It's my first time with Apple ecosystem. I am normally Android and Windows user.
